“In March of 2015 I worked with master printer Marina Ancona of 10 Grand Press in Brooklyn, New York to print an edition of portraits whose subsequent title became “Saints and Old Friends”. Beginning in my forties I became deeply interested in Christian Saints and their ordinary but strange stories, Concurrent with this interest was a fascination with “ordinary saints”, that is people with whom I grew up, who in my mind were saints. These two groups, certified and ordinary saints, have evolved an ongoing series of prints and paintings. Here is a sample of this effort.” Malcolm Moran
